Hi children.

Thanks again for the great time together the last couple of weeks. I'm so proud of all of you and what you're doing and trying to accomplish. We've all been richly blessed.

Just a couple of updates. My Mom and granpa Keith are heading down to St. George this weekend I think she said for their usual winter escape.

My Dad sent me his annual New Year's message (hand written of course.)
So, allow me to transribe it here. Thank him for his wisdom some time.

"To: My Dear children, grandchildren and great-grand children and their spouses:
It seems we have been seeing more devastation, disease, heart ache and trial in the world of late and our Prophet, President Hinckley, has been pleading for us all to read the Book of Mormon again. I should like to express a few thoughts about this sacred record.
The Prophet Joseph Smith was foreordained and chosen to bring forth this record. He was the Seer, spoken of by Joseph of old. and named after his father to do this great work. It wasn't by chance that Joseph's father was poor and had to move from New England to Pamyra within 2 or 3 miles of Cumorah where Moroni had deposited and protected the sacred record for hundreds of years. It was meant to be.
Moroni had a great responsibility to make sure those plates were properly translated, so the teachings upon them could go throughout the whole world in the Latter-days. Young Joseph was the one selected.
I have counted at least 12 times that Moroni instructed young Joseph in much detail about these plates and how important it was to keep them safe. It must have taken 10-12 hours for this Angelic instruction. Moroni also told Joseph his name would be known throughout the world and we have seen all these statements fulfilled in our day.
And so family, I too, along with President Hinckley, give you a promise and a blessing, that if you will continually feast upon the words of Christ in this sacred book. I pray for your success and peace and happiness in your lives. Love, Grandpa Young.

Thanks for that Dad. I think Grandpa sent those to all of us. He's so good about making sure we are all always included. It was a great message!
