Hey there...I'm sorry that there hasn't been any posts from Oscar and I lately. I barely got my computer set back up tonight since we've moved...been busy as everyone else has been as well. I'm glad we all decided to do a drawing for christmas, since we all seem to be hurting for a lot of extra cash right now. It was a great idea. Now I just need to have Mom or somebody give me some ideas of what she would like, incase there is anything in particular she might need or would just like to have, clothes, movies, etc. Try to be specific if its with clothes. Thanks a lot.
As for Oscar anything that has to do with sports, especially soccer, would be a perfect idea. He really wants a BB gun with some targets or video games are good too. He's had his eye on a couple of hunting games for the Playstation 2 ...I think they were called Alaskan Hunting and Hunting Safari, or something like that. Just a couple of ideas for movies, I know he really wants The Davinci Code and Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Basically, anything that he could do as a hobby would be great to keep him busy throughout the day. He gets bored really easily. Model cars or planes might be a good thought, or something along those lines.
As for me, movies are also good. Those same two above are ones I would love as well so either for him or for me it doesn't matter it would be going to both of us anyways. Also any of those movies off of Jessica's list would be great! I especially love the DVD's because I take them to work with me to listen to instead of music. Other than that, there's not much that I can say I really want. We have so much already. An iPod would be ideal but don't worry about it because it's way too much. But Gift Certificates are great too, like to Old Navy, Walmart, or Target, I guess I could use some new clothes, we both could actually. Cash is always a welcome donation and much appreciated. So whatever you feel is necessary would be appreciated.
As for Mike's care package...Oscar and I will cover the voice recorder, we're actually going to get a mini cassette recorder so that we can send the tapes back and forth. I have one as well so we can record to Mike and only send the tapes not the actual recorder. So don't worry about that. Also I will check out some of the books and CD's and see what we can get for him. So keep us posted on what exactly you get from the Deseret Book so we don't buy the same things.
So thanks again for all the posts and the updates....it's nice to hear how everyone is doing. I really appreciate that Dad posts Mike's letters and the comments and thoughts. They are so touching and meaningful to me. I was a little bit in tears when I read that last letter from Mike and Dad's comments. So thank you, there were things I needed to hear apparently. But as for us, we are doing allright. I decided to quit Target, just tonight actually, because they were not giving me the hours I wanted or calling me back on things, I just kept getting the run around from them from the beginning, they seem to have poor management, so I decided I can go elsewhere and be appreciated better. We love the new house but I am still working on unpacking. There have been so many distractions to keep me from finishing all of it and getting the house decorated. Plus with the Holiday season at the post office I have been getting 6 days a week of at least 8-12 hr days. So it's been kinda crazy. Oscar is still working for Marie Callendar's and we got so much holiday food and about 5 pies that are still sitting in our fridge. We also are going to start a membership at 24 hour fitness since there is a gym right up the street that we can walk to. We both have been in need of some good exercise and since its too cold to just go jogging outside, we thought we'd look into something. It'll be nice to give Oscar something productive to do while I'm at work and vise versa. As for Max...he is just as huge as can be, getting into everything he can, and driving just about crazy! We are looking into getting him an obediance collar...like the ones that send out a shock impulse or a high pitched sound. Nikki said they used it on their puppy to help her to stop chewing and digging and stuff. So we really want to get him something because he chews everything and can't stop jumping on people. But anyways....that's about it for us. I will try to write on here more often when I get the time and keep you updated on how we are doing. But its usually just the same ol' same ol'. Pretty dull for us. So yea...we'll talk to ya later. Love you mucho! Que dios esta con ustedes y feliz navidad. (have Greg translate that for ya.)
