Big thanks to Mikey for setting this blog up.
This will be a good way to keep in touch. E-mail is so last month.
Got a note from Grandma Bev. Let me pass on some of her info:
"Been busy with our new puppy Brinkley. Born in August in Santaquin, UT. Cute but nippy." (This has been a really good thing for Grandma and Granpa since Che was put down a few months ago.)
Keith's son Mark had major surgery on his liver recently (he's got cancer, etc.) His wife Liz is still having serious health problems too.
Grandpa Young is celebrating his 80th Birthday on Dec. 11th. Aunt Cokie had a big dinner last weekend for him.
My Aunt Joanne Doxey and Uncle Dave just returned from Spain where they've been serving as Temple President and Matron for the past three years. Dave was a mission President there 25 years ago.
Funerals seem to be the rage here of late. A week or so ago, Mickey Bartlett was killed in a car accident. (Michelle Willis' Dad). The service was very touching. Then last weekend Sister Starkey passed away after a battle with breast cancer. I think Annie knew her from the Stake.
I've been busy with writing workshops the past couple of weekends. Writer's Expo was a big deal in L.A. Lots of good info. Now I just need time to write. Last weekend I had a board meeting at Universal Studios with the APTRA group. (Asssociated Press TV and Radio). They have a big awards dinner at Disneyland every year, and a tape critique workshop in Vegas too.)
Guess I'll be travelling a little more next year for that.
We now have reservations at the HOMESTEAD STUDIO SUITES in Sugar House (12th East and 21st South) FOR OUR CHRISTMAS VISIT. DECEMBER 19-29. TWO adults and two kids can stay there. So that means Mike may have to stay with James. Still not sure where we'll actually do the Christmas morning thing. Let me know what you want for Christmas please. Otherwise the coal company will get our business this year . Course, the way energy bills are going, that may not be such a bad thing anymore.
Take care all. Love Dad.
