Good morning all,
I'm so excited that everyone has been using the blog. Apparently, some of us were having problems logging in, so they weren't able to post anything, but I think its been worked out.
Last week was a blast. As you all know, Walker and I went to Camp K.E.E.P. We went to the beach site, I think Jess and James went there? I'll let Walker tell you all about what he did, and how much fun he had. I went as a Medical Shadow/Counselor, so I had the best of both worlds. Being a counselor, I slept in the same cabin as Walker, and 9 other boys, and the other counselor. I got to hang out with the other counselors after all the kids went to bed. I got to know the teachers pretty well. But I didn't have to go to the counselor meetings that they, had so I got to have free time with the rest of the kids. Being a M.S. for Walker, I did everything that he did. I went on all the hikes, and field trips, and I even learned a bunch of stuff. I tried to stay in the background as much as possible, so he could do his own thing, and it worked out pretty well. He had a blast, he participated in everything. He answered questions, and played the games. He didn't complain about having to do something he didn't want to. Bloodsugar wise, we were able to keep him in the good margin. The food was great, Walker even liked the spaghetti that they served. And we didn't have to worry about him being left out with food, because he wasn't the first diabetic that they've delt with.
Anyway, let's see...Christmas list:
-Anything that will be useful on my mission.
-Camping equipment.
-Anything that will take me a long time to build, or put together(models, legos, etc.)http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=10030&cn=8&t=3&d=5
-MP3 player with massive amounts of memory.
-Any wierd, of-the-wall ties, especially holiday ties.
That's all I can think of right now, so I'll talk to everyone later.
