Hi Family.

Sorry this site has been neglected. Hopefully we'll be back on track before long.

Just a quick update. Mom had to go into the hospital last night. She's doing better. She just needs rest and to get her blood chemistry in balance again. She's not been herself the past few weeks.
The doctors asked if there was any stress in her life and I told her about Annie's wedding and Moving, Mike's mission and Jamie's job and Jess's life pressures, and Oscar's jobs, and the car blowing up. She said wow! Any one of those would be enough to trigger an incident and we've had to deal with all those? She's actually making me go talk to someone too to help take the pressure off of me.
Anyway enough of all that.
Everyone here is mostly well aside from that. (Uh, guess that only leaves Greg and Walker. ) Greg was so brave to help Mom the other day when she was not herself. He took good care of her even when it got kind of scary. Greg took his driver's license test on Monday. He missed a few so he's got to go back next week and try again. But he's doing pretty well.

On the positive side. Got an e-mail from Mike. (Elder Young). He can take letters anytime.
His mission address is: OHIO-CINCINNATI MISSION
87 SHIMMERING BAY LANE
CINCINNATI, OHIO, 45244

His Mission President is President Brammwell. We can just send it to the mission home and they'll forward everything to him.
Here is a copy of his e-mail he sent me yesterday.
I believe he can send and receive e-mails at : michaelvyoung@myldsmail.net

Hey Dad,
I'm out in the field, can you believe it? I sent you guys a letter as soon as I got to the mission office, it talks all about my flight and everything. After orientation we went to the mission home and had dinner, and then spent the night. Today we went to the church and had transfers. I didn't get my companion then, I took a 2 or 3 hour trip, and then met my companion. We then had another 2 hour trip, with a member who was really great, to Gallipolis, Kentucky. This area is soooo green. I've never seen so many trees and such small towns. It is beautiful here.
Anyway, this is my first P-Day, we have them on tuesdays during transfer weeks, but they're normally on Mondays. So every monday or so I get a chance to come to the library, and use the computers.
My companions name is Elder Wells, he's from southern California somewhere, so far he really hasn't trained me in much, but I've only been with him for about 5 hours so I'm not too worried.
Let everyone know that I said hi, and I need addresses. I need Jessica's address, and maybe grandparents too. Either email, or mail address, preferably both.
Not much else been going on, other than the Mission President, Pres. Bramwell and his wife, are great. They're both really tall, but have great spirits. Anyway, I'll talk to you later.

Well better go for now. Hope all is well. I've come to learn that all these things happen for a reason. Elder Henry Eyring of the Quorum of the Twelve has said:
"There is [an] important preparation we must make for tests that are certain to come to each of us. That preparation must be started far in advance because it takes time. What we will need then can't be bought. It can't be borrowed. It doesn't store well. And it has to have been used regularly and recently. "What we will need in our day of testing is a spiritual preparation. It is to have developed faith in Jesus Christ so powerful that we can pass the test of life upon which everything for us in eternity depends."

Here's to passing our tests well.
Love Dad.
